United's new lounge at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport is scheduled to open October 22, according to Simple Flying's October 21 report.

The 54,000-square-foot United Club occupies the mezzanine of Terminal B North and has seating for 800 passengers.

Inside are two full-service bars, two buffet stations and 11 private phone rooms. A 1,350-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooks the airfield.

The opening accompanies the redeveloped Terminal B North Concourse, which has 22 gates for narrowbody aircraft. Passenger facilities include a sensory room, nursing areas and a children's play space.

Upgraded Points reports that the new lounge will open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The existing United Club Fly in Terminal B South will remain open.

Access depends on qualifying membership, eligible credit cards or selected premium tickets. One-time passes remain subject to capacity restrictions.
