Getting started is simple:
Travelers: Browse our catalog, create a free account, and start saving favorites, making purchases, and accessing your downloads in one place.
Creators: Visit the "For Creators" page to learn how selling works, review requirements, and sign up as a seller.
Once your account is created, you can manage everything from your personal dashboard.

Yes, gifting is supported. During checkout, select "Purchase as a gift" and enter the recipient's email address. They'll receive a special gift notification and secure access to download their travel product.

Please double-check the email address before confirming the purchase, as incorrect addresses may delay delivery.

The TrekGuider Referral Program rewards you for bringing new users to the platform:

• Earn 25% of TrekGuider's platform commission from referred creators' sales during their first 30 days.
• Then earn 12.5% of the platform commission on their sales for the next 11 months.
• You can withdraw referral earnings once your balance reaches $50 (a small Stripe payout fee applies; TrekGuider does not charge an extra referral withdrawal fee).
• Almost anyone can join (participation from sanctioned regions may be restricted).

If you run into a technical problem (e.g., login errors, broken pages, payment issues):

1. Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
3. If the issue persists, go to the Help Center and submit a support request.

After completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with a secure download link, and be able to access your product at any time from the "My Purchases" section of your account dashboard. If you do not see the email, please check your spam/junk folder or your Promotions tab.

If your payment is failing or not going through, try the following steps:

1. Verify your payment details: Make sure your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address are entered correctly.
2. Check available funds: Confirm that your card or account has enough funds to complete the purchase.
3. Try an alternative payment method: If possible, use a different card or payment method supported in your region.
4. Contact your bank or card issuer: They may be blocking the transaction for security reasons and can provide more details or lift the block.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact our support team via the Help Center page and include information about the error and the payment method you used.

You can request permanent account deletion in your settings: go to "Account Settings" in your dashboard, select "Delete account" and follow the instructions. Please note: account deletion is permanent. You will lose access to your purchase history and any content stored in your account. Make sure you have downloaded and backed up all needed files before proceeding.

To cancel an active subscription:

1. Go to "My Purchases & Subscriptions" in your account.
2. Find the subscription you want to cancel.
3. Click "Cancel subscription" and confirm.

You will not be charged further, and you will retain access to the content until the end of the current billing period.

You can request a refund from the 'My Purchases' section of your account. The seller has up to 30 days to review your request. If the seller does not respond within 30 days, the request expires and no refund is issued automatically. Please note that the TrekGuider service fee is non-refundable. For unresolved disputes, contact Support via the 'Help Center'.

TrekGuider welcomes travel content creators aged 18+ from most countries worldwide (participation from sanctioned regions may be restricted).

As a creator, you can sell a wide range of digital travel content, including:
• Travel guides and ebooks
• Custom itineraries and route planners
• Interactive maps and GPS tracks
• Audio guides, video tutorials, and courses
• Templates, checklists, spreadsheets, and other digital resources

You can offer products as one-time purchases or subscriptions.

Verification is straightforward:
• You'll provide basic personal and tax information (e.g., SSN for U.S. residents or a tax ID for non-U.S. residents).
• Basic verification is required before you can withdraw earnings (minimum withdrawal amount is $50).
• In some cases, Stripe may require additional verification, such as an ID document and selfie.

Your Creator Page is your professional landing page on TrekGuider. It allows you to:
• Present your brand and story
• Highlight your expertise and niche
• Showcase your products and bundles
• Link to your social media and website

You can also enable tips (donations), allowing fans to support you directly with one-time or recurring contributions. Tips are credited to your TrekGuider balance, and a small 5% commission is charged by the platform as outlined in our fees.

TrekGuider is committed to a clear and competitive fee structure designed to maximize creator earnings:

• Platform commission:
  ○ Tiered commission from 4% to 10% of the sale price, depending on your seller level.
  ○ New sellers enjoy a special 5% commission rate for their first 30 days.
  ○ As your total sales grow, your commission rate automatically decreases (for example, from Level 1 — 10% to Level 3 — 5%). Once you reach a lower commission tier, it is locked in permanently.

• Stripe payment processing (transaction) fees:
  ○ Typically 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction for U.S. cards.
  ○ International cards usually incur an additional 1.5%.
  ○ These fees are set by Stripe and may vary by region and payment method.

• Payout fees (Stripe payout processing):
  ○ 0.25% + $0.25 for standard payouts.
  ○ 1% for instant payouts.

• Currency conversion fee (if applicable):
  ○ Usually 1% when currency conversion is required for payouts.

• Form 1099-K issuance fee (U.S. sellers):
  ○ An annual $2.99 fee applies if you earn over $600 and TrekGuider issues an automated Form 1099-K.

Stripe's payment processing fees are industry-standard and are not controlled by TrekGuider. For the latest details, please refer to Stripe's official fee schedule.

TrekGuider protects your content using applicable U.S. copyright and IP laws, and industry-standard technical and security measures to reduce unauthorized access and copying. While no online platform can guarantee 100% protection, we take copyright seriously and respond promptly to valid complaints and takedown requests. You retain ownership of your content and grant TrekGuider the limited rights necessary to host and deliver it to customers, as described in our Terms.

As a creator, you are responsible for:
• Obtaining and maintaining any licenses, registrations, and permits required to run your business;
• Paying all applicable taxes in your country or region;
• Complying with all local and international laws relevant to your activities.

TrekGuider provides the tools and marketplace, but does not act as your employer, tax agent, or legal representative.

For U.S. sellers, TrekGuider automatically generates Form 1099-K if your annual earnings exceed the applicable reporting threshold (currently $600). A copy of this form is provided to you and to the IRS.

For non-U.S. sellers, TrekGuider does not currently provide automated tax forms. You are responsible for determining and meeting your own tax obligations in your country and, if applicable, in the U.S. More information and general guidance are available on the "For Creators" page.
