American Express and Airbnb launched a partnership on October 22, adding more than one million Airbnb listings to Amex Travel for U.S. card members.

Travelers start their search on AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel app, link their Amex and Airbnb accounts, then complete the booking through Airbnb.

Changes, cancellations and messages to hosts are also handled through Airbnb, rather than Amex Travel.

Eligible Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders can use their existing lodging credit for prepaid Airbnb Luxe stays of at least two nights.

The credit offers up to $600 annually, split into up to $300 for January through June and up to $300 for July through December. Ordinary Airbnb listings do not qualify.

A qualifying Luxe booking also opens access to up to $250 in statement credits for eligible Airbnb Experiences purchased directly through Airbnb with an eligible Platinum card by the end of that calendar year.
