Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are adding year-round nonstop flights from Seattle to Osaka, Japan, and Papeete, Tahiti. Hawaiian will operate both routes.

Seattle-Osaka service starts May 14, 2027, with four flights a week between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Kansai International Airport.

Seattle-Papeete flights begin June 11, 2027, operating three times a week. The route gives travelers a nonstop option from Seattle to French Polynesia.

Both routes will use Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330 aircraft. The airline says business class will offer lie-flat seating.

Hawaiian will also continue its Honolulu services to Osaka and Papeete, preserving an alternative gateway for travelers heading to either destination.

Tickets are on sale at alaskaair.com and hawaiianairlines.com. The new routes remain subject to government approval, and schedules may change.
