Sublime Sand Adds 43 Villas to Portugal's Comporta Estate in Spring Expansion

Sublime Sand will open this spring as the largest expansion of Sublime Comporta to date, adding 43 villas across a 51-hectare estate on Portugal's Comporta coast. The new property is positioned as a sister to the existing Sublime Comporta, an hour south of Lisbon.

The villas range from one to four bedrooms, each with a private pool and an oversize outdoor terrace. Architecture by Studio MK27 emphasizes long horizontal lines, exposed wood, and natural stone, with construction set into the pine forest and rice paddies that define the region.

Three central buildings anchor the estate. One houses two restaurants and a beach-club-style bar. The second is a wellness center with treatment rooms, a yoga pavilion, and indoor and outdoor pools. The third is a retail and gathering hub stocking goods from Portuguese designers and local producers.

Comporta has emerged as one of Portugal's most-watched destinations since 2022, with high-design properties replacing the small guesthouses that once defined the area. Sublime Sand will operate year-round, with rates starting near 950 euros per night and climbing past 2,500 euros in peak summer.

Guests reach Comporta's wide Atlantic beaches via a short electric-shuttle ride. Lisbon Airport is just over an hour away by car, making the property a credible long-weekend option for travelers from London, Paris, or Madrid.
