United will start nonstop flights from San Francisco to Charleston and resume service to Hartford on March 28, 2027, according to Simple Flying's October 23 report.

Charleston will get four weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. United plans to use a 166-seat Boeing 737 MAX 8.

The Hartford route will operate daily to Bradley International Airport using a 179-seat Boeing 737 MAX 9.

These two routes are part of a broader four-route expansion that also includes San Francisco to Oklahoma City and Chicago O'Hare to Bermuda.

For Charleston travelers, the published schedule lists a 5:40 p.m. departure and an 8:50 p.m. arrival in San Francisco, both local times. The westbound trip is scheduled to take six hours and 10 minutes.
