ONE | GT opened in the heart of George Town, Grand Cayman, in May with 97 apartment-style rooms across 10 floors. The property positions itself as a downtown urban hotel, distinct from the resort properties that dominate Seven Mile Beach to the north.
Rooms are larger than the Caribbean average, with most built as one- or two-bedroom layouts including a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a living area. The design uses floor-to-ceiling windows, neutral materials, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the cruise harbor.
The hotel includes three restaurants on the ground and second floors, a small spa, and a gym. There is no beach on the property, but a complimentary shuttle runs to Seven Mile Beach five times daily, a 15-minute one-way trip.
George Town has historically been associated with day-trip cruise traffic and the offshore-banking sector rather than overnight tourism. ONE | GT is the first new hotel in the downtown district in over 15 years and reflects a broader push by the Cayman Islands Tourism Authority to diversify lodging options beyond the beach-resort model.
Opening rates start near $480 per night for a one-bedroom suite, with multi-night and direct-booking discounts available. Owen Roberts International Airport is a 12-minute drive away, with daily flights to Miami, New York, Atlanta, and Toronto, plus Cayman Airways service to Kingston and Havana.
