Delta removes Detroit-Reykjavik flights from summer 2027 schedule

Delta has removed its seasonal Detroit-Reykjavik route from the summer 2027 schedule, according to AeroRoutes on October 27. The report places the removal in the previous week's schedule update.

The withdrawn schedule had called for service to resume May 6, 2027, with five flights a week, increasing to daily flights on May 28. Those plans no longer stand.

This is a route withdrawal, not simply an aircraft change. Simple Flying also reported on October 27 that Delta was removing the Detroit-Keflavik service from its 2027 schedule.

Delta's official announcement confirms a separate daily Boston-Keflavik route beginning April 12, 2027, and operating through October 30. It will use Boeing 757-200 aircraft.

For Detroit travelers, the removed route means losing that seasonal nonstop option on Delta. Boston is a confirmed alternative Delta gateway for Iceland during the published 2027 operating dates.
