American plans Miami–Barcelona, Venezuela flights for January 2027

American Airlines plans to launch nonstop flights from Miami to Barcelona, Venezuela, on January 15, 2027. The airline announced the new route on October 16.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays using Embraer E175 aircraft. The planes will offer a premium cabin, Wi-Fi and in-seat power.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale October 19 through American's website and mobile app. The destination airport is General Jose Antonio Anzoategui International Airport, code BLA.

Barcelona will become American's third Venezuelan destination, joining Caracas and Maracaibo. All three routes operate from Miami; the addition will bring the airline's Venezuela schedule to 24 weekly flights.

For travelers continuing beyond Miami, American says the route will provide one-stop access to more than 100 destinations in North America.
