Understand your checkout total and payment options

The amount beside Complete Purchase is the amount you are about to confirm with the selected payment option. Read the order summary again after changing a promo code or using balance.

Read the order summary

  • Subtotal adds up the item prices used for this order. A product's sale price is already reflected here.
  • Discount shows the additional order discount, when one applies.
  • Tax shows the tax amount included in checkout's calculation.
  • Total is the final order amount after those adjustments.

A crossed-out item price lets you compare a sale with the regular price. It is not a second amount you will be charged.

Checkout amounts are in US dollars (USD). Your bank or wallet may convert the charge into your account currency and apply its own conversion costs. TrekGuider does not offer a separate checkout currency selector. See payment methods and currencies.

Choose from the available payment options

Checkout shows the payment methods available for your order. If you have an eligible balance, you may see Wallet balance for full payment or a choice to use part of your balance and pay the rest with a payment method.

With a split payment, From balance shows the balance portion and Payment amount shows what remains. You do not pay the full order total again by card.

For a one-time card purchase, check Save this card for future purchases only if you want to keep it on your account. Subscription checkout explains when a payment method must be saved for renewals.

A free one-time order says that no payment is required. A subscription with nothing due today can still require a payment method for future renewals; read its notice before confirming.

If the amount looks wrong

Pause before paying. Check the products, payment period, promo-code message, and any balance selection. If the figures still do not match what you expected, contact support with the product names and a screenshot of the order summary, with personal and payment details hidden.

See Pay with your balance and Manage saved payment methods.
