Use a promo code at checkout

On this page

Apply a code before completing payment. Typing it into checkout is not enough: the order summary needs to show that the code has been accepted.

Apply or remove a code

  1. Open checkout and find the Promo code field in your order summary.
  2. Enter the code, then select Apply.
  3. Read the confirmation or error below the field.
  4. Check Discount and Total before selecting Complete Purchase.

To take off an applied code, select Remove and check the updated total. Checkout may still apply an automatic discount you qualify for.

Why the discount may be different from expected

A seller's code can apply to selected products rather than every item in a mixed order. A minimum spend can also count only eligible items. Read the message beside the code instead of comparing the minimum with your whole cart.

Discounts do not combine. If your automatic discount is larger than the code's discount, checkout keeps the larger automatic discount and tells you.

If the code is not accepted

Check for a typing mistake, then read the specific message. The code may not have started yet, may have expired, may no longer be active, or may have reached its usage limit. You may also be asked to sign in, or told that you already used the code.

If a code is linked to another account, sign in to the account it was intended for. Do not create extra accounts to reuse an offer. For an offer that still seems wrong, contact the person who shared it or TrekGuider support before paying.
