Run Your TrekGuider Shop With Your Own AI Assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to your creator account and hand it everyday work in plain words.

Run Your TrekGuider Shop With Your Own AI Assistant

Lots of creators already write and plan trips with AI. Now you can connect that same assistant to your TrekGuider shop. It can see your products, articles and sales and do what you ask. You decide what it has access to.

What you can ask it to do

Write to your assistant the way you'd write to a helper:

  • "Which of my products are still in review?"
  • "Draft a guide to the W Trek in Torres del Paine with this description, category Hiking."
  • "Set my Iceland guide to $19 with a 14-day refund window."
  • "Give this guide two subscription tiers, Basic and Full, billed monthly and yearly."
  • "Write a draft article about huts in the Dolomites and schedule it for Monday at 9 a.m. Berlin time."
  • "Create 10 promo codes for 15% off my Iceland guide, valid until December 31."
  • "Show me my refund requests."
  • "Reply politely to the latest review on my Dolomites guide."
  • "How did my sales do in September?"

Your assistant can work with products and their subscription tiers, Travel Insights articles, your creator page, promo codes, reviews, refund requests, support tickets and sales reports. Products and articles it edits go through the usual moderation, just as if you'd made the changes yourself.

How to connect

  1. Open AI & MCP in your account menu.
  2. Pick your assistant. There are ready-made instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, OpenHands, Codex and n8n, plus a "Something else" option for the rest.
  3. Copy the server address, https://trekguider.com/mcp, and add it to your assistant as a custom connector. In Claude, that's Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT, it's through developer mode in Settings. The page walks you through every step for each assistant.
  4. Your assistant opens a TrekGuider sign-in window. Sign in, check what it's allowed to do, and click Approve access.

For your first request, try one of the ready-made ones: "Show my products", "Prepare an Insight draft" or "Summarize my sales".

You decide what it can do

When you connect, there are three ready-made sets of permissions:

  • Full access: everything the assistant can do.
  • Read only: it can only view your products, articles and overall stats.
  • Content helper: drafts, edits and images for products and articles, but no publishing and no prices.

You can also pick permissions task by task and limit access to specific products and articles. By default, a connection lasts 30 days, and you can change or remove the end date.

An assistant that writes drafts only needs Content helper. One that replies to reviews and keeps an eye on sales can get a different set. Each connection is set up on its own.

You stay in control

The AI & MCP page lists every connected assistant: when it last worked and when its access ends. You can change permissions anytime or disconnect an assistant with one click. The history shows what each assistant did and when, and you can filter it by assistant and by type of action.

Some things your assistant never touches. Your password, sign-in email, username and two-factor settings stay with you alone. It can't see card or bank numbers and never moves money on its own. When you ask it to withdraw money or add funds, it prepares the request and gives you a link, and you confirm it yourself in your browser. Tax forms and identity checks also happen only in your browser.

Other actions happen right away: approving refunds, taking products off sale, changing promo codes. So give your assistant only the permissions it actually needs for its job.

How to get started

Open AI & MCP, connect your assistant with Read only access and ask: "Which of my products sell best?" Once you're comfortable, expand its permissions to what you need.
