Submit or update a tax form

Use the tax form linked from your withdrawal notice or Documents. Before starting, check that the form shown matches the information recorded for your account.

Complete and send the form

  1. Review the legal name and address fields. Correct any outdated prefilled information.
  2. Complete the fields shown for your form. A W-9 asks for either an SSN or EIN. A W-8BEN includes country, address, birth date, and foreign tax ID fields.
  3. If an option applies to your circumstances, read its wording before selecting it. Do not select a tax-number exception or treaty claim just to bypass a field.
  4. Read the certification near the bottom. Confirm it only if the information is true, correct, and complete.
  5. Enter your Electronic signature and select Send for review.
  6. Check for the submission result. If fields are highlighted, correct them and submit again.

The form's treaty-benefit section is optional. Do not fill it with guessed rates or treaty details. If you are unsure what your tax records should say, resolve that before certifying the form.

Follow the review

After submission, the page confirms that your form is being checked. You will receive an email with the outcome. A submitted form does not immediately enable withdrawals.

If the page says Something needs fixing, read the reason, correct the relevant information, and send the form again. Do not send your tax identifiers in a support message.

When updating a still-valid approved form, the existing approval stays valid until its expiry while the replacement is reviewed. If it has already expired, follow the renewal notice and check the new review outcome.

If your circumstances change

Update the form when relevant legal, address, or tax details change. If a move changes which form is appropriate, ask support to check the account classification before certifying a replacement. Changing your public profile country does not by itself resolve tax or payout records.
