Qatar Airways to end its third New York JFK frequency in late October

Qatar Airways will end its third nonstop flight frequency between Doha and New York JFK at the end of October, according to an October 24 report by Simple Flying.

The change trims the airline's New York schedule rather than ending the route. The report describes it as a capacity reduction as the summer season ends.

The adjustment follows Qatar Airways' return to Philadelphia in August. That route operates daily with an Airbus A350, providing another East Coast link to Doha.

American Airlines previously operated the Philadelphia-Doha route. It confirmed its permanent cancellation in June, before Qatar Airways resumed its own service.

For travelers comparing East Coast departures, the reported changes mean fewer Qatar Airways frequencies at JFK while Philadelphia retains a daily nonstop option.
