Walt Disney World to Open Seven New Attractions on the Same Day May 26
Walt Disney World will open seven new attractions on May 26, the largest single-day debut at the Florida resort in over a decade. The new experiences span all four parks and several existing land expansions.
Soarin' Across America debuts at EPCOT as a North American successor to Soarin' Around the World, featuring the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Niagara Falls, and the Statue of Liberty. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens at Hollywood Studios with a complete retheme of the former Aerosmith ride.
At Animal Kingdom, Bluey's Wild World launches at Conservation Station as the first Walt Disney World attraction based on the Bluey series. A new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stage show will play in a refreshed theater at Hollywood Studios, alongside an updated Walt Disney Studios Courtyard area.
Magic Kingdom's contribution is Jessie's Roundup, a Toy Story stage show with Jessie, Woody, and Bullseye that runs four times daily in Frontierland. A character meet-and-greet area completes the lineup, with The Magic of Disney Animation gallery reopening later in the summer.
Attendance is expected to spike around the May 26 debut, with Memorial Day weekend immediately following. Disney has expanded park reservations and is encouraging multi-park hopper tickets. Standby waits for Soarin' and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster are projected to exceed 90 minutes during the first month.
