Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines Set April 22 as Operational Merger Date
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have confirmed April 22, 2026, as the date their operations merge into a single carrier. From that point forward, the two airlines will cease operating as separate entities.
The integration means unified booking systems, a single reservations platform, and shared airport operations. Hawaiian-branded aircraft will continue flying under the Alaska Airlines operating certificate, with Hawaiian's routes and schedules maintained through the transition.
The loyalty programs are merging into a new unified system called Atmos Rewards. Members of both Alaska Mileage Plan and Hawaiian's HawaiianMiles had until March 31 to complete eligible booked travel and submit retroactive earning requests.
For travelers, the combined network creates a carrier stretching from Hawaii and the South Pacific through the West Coast to Alaska, with connections to over 1,000 destinations through partner airlines.
The merger follows Alaska's $1.9 billion acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines, completed in late 2024. Operational integration has proceeded on schedule, though some labor union negotiations around seniority lists remain ongoing.
