Understand what changes after a refund
On this page
Check the product's refund status and refunded amount in My Purchases, under Orders. A request being reviewed is different from a refund that has completed.
Where the money goes
For a normal product refund, the money returns to the original payment sources. If you paid using both a card and your TrekGuider wallet, the refund is split between those sources proportionally. The wallet portion returns to your TrekGuider balance.
The time for a card refund to appear can differ from the time TrekGuider records it. Read the information shown with your request. If the recorded refund is missing from the expected payment source, contact support with the order reference and refunded amount.
What happens to downloads
A fully refunded product loses download access through that purchase. The order can remain in your history with a refunded status, even though its files are no longer available to you.
Look at the affected product rather than assuming the whole order was refunded. Other products in the same order can have different statuses.
A Partially Refunded entry does not necessarily remove access. Check the amount and the controls still shown for that item. When eligible, Request Remaining Refund lets you request the remaining amount under the purchase's existing terms.
Refunds and cancellation are different
Canceling a product subscription normally stops future renewals while access follows the purchased tier's terms. If an eligible first subscription payment is fully refunded, recurring payments stop and access through that subscription ends, including any last-paid-package access. A tier that normally lets you keep paid content does not preserve access to a refunded purchase.
See the first-payment guarantee for eligibility. A refund does not promise the same result as an ordinary end-of-period cancellation.
