Understand seller levels and platform commission rates
On this page
Your seller level helps determine TrekGuider's platform commission on product sales. It reflects your selling history and is separate from the subscription tiers you offer to buyers.
The standard seller levels
| Level | Qualifying lifetime sales | Platform commission |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1: Beginner | Starting level | 10% |
| Level 2: Growth | $1,000 or more | 8% |
| Level 3: Pro | $5,000 or more | 5% |
Qualifying gross product sales, subscription renewals and donations count toward level progress. Refunded payments are excluded. This is a lifetime total, not a monthly target and not your current withdrawable balance.
New sellers can temporarily receive Level 3 benefits before earning that level through sales. Referred sellers may have a separate 4% introductory rate. Read New-seller benefits before treating an introductory level as permanent.
Exclusive accounts have individually agreed terms. Exclusive is not another automatic sales target, and the label does not promise a zero platform fee. Your account's displayed rate applies if you have special terms.
Check your current rate and progress
- Open your seller dashboard.
- Find Your Level & Benefits.
- Check Your Current Level and Platform fee.
- Review Progress to Next Level, or Lifetime Revenue if shown.
- Select Learn More to open Creator Levels & Benefits.
Standard earned levels upgrade automatically when you reach the required sales total. You do not need to apply each time. The temporary new-seller bonus can end with a different level if its target was not reached.
Keep the different fees separate
The platform commission is one part of a transaction's cost. Payment processing fees and any withdrawal fees are separate. For example, a 5% platform fee on a $100 paid product amount is $5 before those separate charges.
Donations have a flat 5% platform commission rather than your product-sales level rate. A lower product commission does not make donation processing or payouts free.
Compare the actual breakdown in Sales Analytics with your balance and withdrawal summary. See Seller fees and earnings or Payout fees and timing if those totals differ.
