Understand your first 30 days of seller benefits
On this page
New sellers receive a 30-day introductory period with Level 3 benefits. Under the standard level schedule, that means a 5% platform commission on product sales instead of the starting 10% rate.
A seller who joins through an eligible referral can receive a separate 4% product-sales rate. These are two different benefits, so check which one appears on your account.
Find your countdown
Open the seller dashboard and find Your Level & Benefits. Check Platform fee and either New Seller Bonus Period or Referral Bonus Period. Select Learn More for the full explanation.
The countdown starts when the benefit is added to your seller account. It does not wait for your first listing or first sale. Preparing your product materials before you begin selling helps you make use of that time.
Reopening the verification flow or updating your details does not restart the introductory period.
What happens after the standard bonus
Your regular seller level is based on qualifying lifetime sales:
- Below $1,000: Level 1, with a standard 10% product commission.
- From $1,000: Level 2, with a standard 8% commission.
- From $5,000: Level 3, with a standard 5% commission.
Qualifying totals include gross product sales, subscription renewals and donations; refunded payments are excluded. Reaching the Level 3 target lets you keep that earned level after the introductory period. Otherwise, the temporary Level 3 benefit ends and the earned level applies.
Keeping a referred seller's 4% rate
For the referral benefit, reach at least $5,000 in qualifying sales during your 30-day referral bonus period to keep the 4% rate. Sales outside that benefit period do not satisfy this particular target. Check for Locked or the permanent-rate explanation in your level details.
If the target is not reached, the referral rate ends and your applicable regular seller terms take over. Individually agreed terms can differ from the standard schedule.
The 4% rate applies to product sales, not the separate 5% donation commission. Processing and payout fees also remain separate.
Your seller-benefit countdown is separate from the earnings schedule for the person who invited you. See Seller referral earnings and Seller levels for those details.
