Revise a published Insight or respond to a review request
On this page
An Insight can need a small update after publication or a more substantial change before it is approved. Start by checking its current status so you know which version you are editing.
Update a published article
Open Travel Insights, find the article under Published, and open its editor. You can also use Edit Insight on your own article page.
Make the changes you need and submit them with the publication button. Changes to a published Insight go through review. The approved version remains public while the update is being reviewed.
If you see Your changes are awaiting moderation, read the notice before doing more work. The editor shows the approved version while the submitted changes are reviewed. Seeing older text there does not mean you should submit the same update again. Wait for the review outcome before making another revision.
Fix an article returned for revision
- Open the Rejected tab in your Travel Insights list.
- Open the article and read Sent back for revision.
- Address the points in the note, including any photo or text issues.
- Select Publish Now to submit the corrected article again.
If the note does not explain what needs changing, contact support with the article title and the message shown. Do not guess at a change that would alter the meaning of your story.
Keep an article online or take it down
Save as Draft has a different purpose from submitting an update. On a published article, it asks whether to take the Insight offline. Confirm only if you want to remove it from public view.
For a pending submission you want to withdraw, open the editor and choose Save as Draft. Check that it returns to Draft before continuing your work.
Duplicate or delete an Insight
Use Duplicate in your Travel Insights list to create a separate draft with “(Copy)” in its title. Review it before submitting; a duplicate does not update the original article.
Use Delete when you want to remove the Insight. Read Delete Insight? before choosing Yes, Delete or Keep Insight. Deletion hides it from readers; deleted drafts and rejected revisions cannot be recovered. Use Save as Draft instead when your goal is to take a published article offline for editing.
If you are preparing a new article, see Write your first Insight. For unfinished work or a future publication time, see Save a draft or schedule an Insight.
