Add photos, tags, and a search preview to your Insight
On this page
A good cover helps readers recognize the topic. Tags and the search preview help describe it. Add these details after the main story is clear so they reflect what the article actually contains.
Add a cover photo
Open the Insight editor and find Cover photo. Choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB. Use the uploader controls to replace or remove a photo.
Pick an image that fits the article and remains recognizable when shown as a small card. Avoid placing essential text close to the edges. You need a cover photo before submitting the Insight for review.
Images inside the story are separate from its cover. Use them where they explain a place, step, or detail that words alone would leave unclear.
Choose useful tags
- Open Advanced settings.
- Find Tags.
- Search for relevant tags or enter a new one.
- Choose up to five tags that describe the article's actual subject.
A new tag may need approval before it appears with your published Insight.
A destination, activity, or specific topic is more useful than a collection of loosely related keywords. Do not repeat the same idea in several nearly identical tags.
Check the search appearance
Under Search engine appearance, edit Meta Title and Meta Description.
Keep the title clear and brief. The editor recommends fewer than 60 characters. Write the description as a natural summary and use the displayed character counter. Avoid promising information that the article does not provide.
Review Search preview below the fields. It is a preview of your chosen wording; a search engine may display different text. If you leave these fields empty, TrekGuider can use your title and article text to fill them.
Save the draft or submit your changes when finished. See Write your first Insight or Revise a published Insight for the next step.
