Write useful Insights and help travelers find your work
On this page
A useful Travel Insight lets someone learn from your experience before deciding whether to follow you or buy your work. Answer a question a traveler might search for, such as how to plan a three-day walking trip or choose the right map format.
Seller accounts publish Travel Insights under their own authorship. Travel News belongs to the platform's editorial team. An Insight is not a way to post a platform announcement or speak for TrekGuider.
Build the article around one useful promise
Choose a specific question and answer it near the beginning. Add practical details, an example, and any limits the reader needs to understand. For a route guide, describe the destination, who it suits, and what someone should check before setting out.
Use your own knowledge and material you have permission to publish. Check place names, links, dates, and claims. Keep personal information and other people's private details out of the story.
Make it easy to read
- Write a clear English title and a short subtitle that matches the actual article.
- Use headings for the main questions, short paragraphs for explanations, and numbered lists for ordered steps.
- Add images where they explain something. Choose a cover that still makes sense as a small preview.
- Select a relevant category and a few specific tags. Review the search title and description before submitting.
The editor's limits are not a recommended article length. Write enough to answer the question fully, then remove repetition.
Give readers a relevant next step
Readers can open your creator profile from the article and follow you when that option is available. If a product would help them continue, explain what it adds and include a relevant link. Keep the article useful on its own; a sales pitch that withholds the answer gives readers little reason to trust it.
Clear topics and accurate search text can help people discover your work. Publication does not guarantee search placement, traffic, or sales. Review your Insights activity in Sales Analytics and improve the articles that attract interested readers.
