Respond to a verification update request
On this page
A verification update request means some information needs another look. The message in your account tells you what to correct or complete.
Review the request
Open Account Verification and look for Verification update requested or a payout requirements notice. Read the full explanation before editing anything.
Check whether the request concerns personal details, an address, identity documents, or payout setup. Completing one type of verification does not automatically complete every other request.
Update the requested information
- Select Update verification details when that button is offered.
- Review your existing details in the form that opens.
- Correct the information or provide the material requested there.
- Submit the update and return to TrekGuider.
- Read the latest status and check whether another action remains.
If your account has not reached that form yet, complete the verification steps shown on the page instead.
Use the name, address, and other details appropriate to the verification request. Changing a public display name or creator bio does not correct a legal verification record.
If proof of address is requested
A proof-of-address request is different from the photo-ID and selfie check. Open the request in your account and use the document collection form it provides. Follow the accepted-document and address instructions shown there. Passing the ID check does not automatically satisfy an address request.
If you are unsure what to send
Ask support to explain the request before supplying unrelated documents. Include the wording of the notice and the part you do not understand. Keep identity images, bank details, and tax identifiers out of a general support message.
An update can remain under review after submission. If the account says to wait, keep an eye on the account notice and email rather than submitting the same material again.
