Close your account

You can request account deletion from Account Settings. Before you confirm, read the deletion notice and check anything you still need from the account.

Before you close it

  • Save purchase information and files you are entitled to keep.
  • Withdraw eligible earnings if you want to receive them. Account deletion does not make an automatic withdrawal.
  • Review your spending balance and any funds on hold.
  • Check the effect on your products, articles, creator page, and purchase history.
  • Review the notice about subscriptions and monthly creator support.

The deletion window explains any remaining funds and may require you to acknowledge their forfeiture. Do not confirm that acknowledgment unless you intend to accept it.

If an outstanding balance, hold, payout, or another obligation prevents deletion, follow the explanation shown or ask support for help.

Schedule deletion

  1. Open Account Settings and choose Delete Account.
  2. Read the notices and complete the password and email confirmation requested by the form.
  3. Review any remaining balance acknowledgment.
  4. Choose Yes, Delete Account if you are ready.
  5. Check the confirmation and scheduled deletion date.

If you change your mind

For a self-service deletion request, signing back in within the 30-day cancellation period cancels the scheduled deletion. Do this before the date in your confirmation.

Recurring payments stop renewing when you confirm deletion. Paid access continues to the end of its current billing period, but restoring the account does not automatically restart those payments.

After the cancellation period, account removal is permanent as described in the notice and applicable policies. Read those policies for how records are handled; do not use account deletion as a way to cancel an unresolved payment problem.
