Icelandair will launch nonstop flights between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik on May 14, 2027. The seasonal service will run through October 24, 2027.

The airline announced the route on October 7. Service is planned three to four times a week, with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Icelandair plans to use a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 16 business-class recliner seats and 144 economy seats. The route restores a nonstop link previously flown by WOW Air before that airline closed in 2019.

St. Louis will also become a transfer point for Icelandair and its partner Southwest Airlines. The route adds an option for trips between the U.S. and Europe through Iceland, with Southwest connections at St. Louis.

Travelers using the new route can take advantage of Icelandair's free stopover program for a stay of up to seven days in Iceland. That allows an Iceland visit to be combined with an onward trip to Europe.
