Reset a forgotten password
On this page
If you have forgotten your password, request a reset code using the email address on your TrekGuider account.
Choose a new password
- Open Sign in and choose the password reset option.
- Enter your Email address and select Send reset code.
- Check that inbox, including spam or junk.
- Enter the Email verification code in the reset window.
- Choose a new password that meets the requirements shown, then select Reset password.
Return to sign in with the new password. Keep any additional verification steps open until you finish them.
If you cannot find the code
Check the address shown in the reset window. Use Use a different email if you entered the wrong one.
When the resend control becomes available, choose Resend code and use the newest message. If a code is no longer accepted, request a fresh one instead of continuing with an old message.
Make sure you are checking the email address you use for TrekGuider. If you normally sign in with a connected account, try that method or use the password setup option shown in your account.
Two-factor authentication stays on
Resetting your password does not turn off two-factor authentication. You will still need your authenticator or an unused backup code when asked.
If you have lost access to your email or all your two-factor recovery options, use account recovery through the sign-in help. Never send a password or a reset code to support.
