Connect an AI assistant to your TrekGuider account

You can connect an AI assistant to help with tasks in your TrekGuider account. The connection has its own permissions, so you choose the work and content you want to share.

Start the connection

1. Sign in and open AI & MCP.
2. Choose the assistant app you use under Which AI client are you using?
3. Follow the setup instructions shown for that app.
4. When the app opens TrekGuider for sign-in and approval, check that you are using the intended account.

Only approve a connection you started. If you do not recognize it, choose Cancel connection.

Choose the access you want

Give the connection a useful Agent name, such as the purpose you use it for. Under Agent permissions, review the tasks it requests.

You can start with an available preset, such as Read only or Content helper, then check the individual tasks. Read the descriptions before choosing Full access.

Where offered, limit access to selected products or Insights instead of your entire collection. You can also set an end date. The approval page explains when access ends and which time zone applies.

When the choices look right, select Approve access. Return to AI & MCP and look for the connection under Your agents.

Try a small first task

Start with something you can easily check, such as asking the assistant to show your purchases. If you use a seller account, you could ask it to show your products or prepare an Insight draft. Review the result before relying on it for a larger task.
