Zannier Bendor Opens on a Private French Riviera Island With 93 Rooms
Zannier Hotels opened Zannier Bendor on May 1 on the 17-acre island of Ile de Bendor, a private retreat just off the coast of Bandol on the French Riviera.
The property has 93 rooms across the island, including villas, suites, and rooms in restored historic buildings. The original village square, dating to the 1950s when industrialist Paul Ricard transformed the island into a cultural destination, has been preserved as the social heart of the resort.
Eight dining and bar concepts are spread across the grounds, ranging from a beach club restaurant to a fine dining venue inside a former art gallery. A large wellness center includes treatment rooms, a hammam, and a swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean.
Guests reach the island by a 10-minute boat transfer from Bandol, which is reachable by train from Marseille in about 45 minutes. The hotel runs its own scheduled shuttle in coordination with mainland arrivals.
Summer rates start at roughly 750 euros per night for a standard room, with villa categories climbing into four figures during peak weeks. Bookings are open through the Zannier Hotels website with reduced rates for stays of five nights or longer.
