Universal Kids Resort in Frisco Confirms 31 Attractions Across Seven Lands
Universal officially confirmed the attraction lineup for Universal Kids Resort, the family-focused theme park opening in Frisco, Texas, later in 2026. The park will feature 31 attractions, shows, and interactive experiences across seven themed lands.
The seven lands draw from DreamWorks Animation properties, Curious George, and Universal's own IP catalog. Each is scaled for younger guests, with ride heights and pacing designed for children under 10 and the adults traveling with them.
There are no thrill rides at the park, deliberately distinguishing it from Universal's flagship resorts in Orlando and Hollywood. The lineup leans on gentle coasters, walk-through play environments, character meet-and-greets, and live shows rather than high-speed signature rides.
Universal Kids Resort sits within Frisco's broader mixed-use entertainment district. A new family hotel adjacent to the gates is scheduled to open with the park, with a second hotel planned in a later phase. Day-ticket pricing has not been finalized but is expected to fall below adult prices at Universal Orlando.
The opening positions the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a new theme park destination, joining Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. Universal's choice of Frisco rather than the existing Orlando or Hollywood hubs reflects a strategy of placing scaled family-focused parks within driving range of regional populations.
