Four Seasons Yachts Launches Its First Cruise Ship With Hotel-Style Suites
Four Seasons entered the cruise industry with the launch of Four Seasons I, a 34,000-gross-ton yacht that began sailing in March 2026.
The vessel features expansive staterooms designed to feel more like hotel rooms than cruise ship cabins. Suites include floor-to-ceiling windows, residential-style bathrooms, and furnishings that mirror the brand's land-based properties. The yacht carries far fewer passengers than mainstream cruise ships, maintaining the high staff-to-guest ratio that Four Seasons hotels are known for.
The launch positions Four Seasons alongside Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in the ultra-luxury cruise segment, where hotel brands are increasingly competing with established cruise lines for affluent travelers.
Orient Express is also preparing to debut its own yacht later in 2026, joining a wave of hospitality brands crossing into maritime travel. The trend reflects demand for seamless luxury experiences that combine the service standards of top hotels with the itinerary variety of cruise travel.
Four Seasons I sails Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries, with per-night rates starting above $3,000 per person — positioning it at the very top of the cruise pricing spectrum.
