World's First Bluey Roller Coaster Opens at Alton Towers in the UK
Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire, England, opened the world's first Bluey-themed roller coaster on March 28 inside CBeebies Land.
The junior coaster is based on the "Grannies" episode of the Australian animated series and is designed for preschool-age riders and families. The ride features gentle drops and turns through themed scenery recreating moments from the show.
The opening makes Alton Towers the first theme park globally to feature a dedicated Bluey ride, beating Disney's parks to the punch despite Disney's broader Bluey entertainment push with stage shows and meet-and-greets in the U.S.
CBeebies Land has been a reliable draw for families with young children since it opened in 2014. The Bluey addition is expected to boost attendance during the critical spring and summer seasons when families with small children represent the park's core demographic.
The ride joins a 2026 lineup of family-oriented theme park additions worldwide, including World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris and multiple Bluey experiences across Disney's U.S. parks.
